Remote Associate Positions

Interested in that "NYC Associate" job post but not willing to relocate? In today's market, you may not have to! Many top-tier law firms are allowing remote arrangements more commonly than advertised.

In particular, large law firms are routinely hiring associates through a major hub office (e.g., New York or Los Angeles), while allowing the associate to work fully remote, or at least out of a smaller satellite office.

This trend is likely growing, as the benefits are obvious. The law firm expands its talent pool while the associate can enjoy a higher salary with a lower cost of living.

Sound too good to be true? It can be uncomfortable negotiating a remote working arrangement for yourself. However, an experienced legal recruiter can often advocate on your behalf and negotiate location for you.

Moral of the story: don't be shy applying to those out-of-city job posts!
